What we are doing 

We are committed to fostering education, culture, and community welfare through various initiatives:

  • Advancing Education:

    • Providing digital literacy training to ensure students and teachers can effectively use technology for learning.

    • Supporting remote learning programs, enabling students in underserved communities to continue their education online.

  • Advancing Culture:

    • Promoting the preservation of cultural heritage through digital storytelling and community-driven initiatives.

    • Encouraging cultural exchange by integrating traditional knowledge and practices into educational programs.

  • Public Benevolent Institution (PBI):

    • Supporting low-income and marginalised communities by providing essential educational tools and resources.

    • Partnering with organisations to bridge the digital divide, ensuring access to education for those most in need.

​At Makhaza

  • New Solar system

  • Repaired a 5 classroom block with new roof, verandah, doors, floors and windows. 

  • Supplied the following games - chess, backgammon, rummy cub, goblet gobblers, twister 

  • Supplied 13 laptops

At Mathula

  • Provided an 11KVA Solar system

  • Wired a computer room and the staff living quarters

  • Setup a computer room with 20 laptops

  • Supplied the following games - chess, backgammon, rummy cub, scrabble

  • Currently building a boys dormitory 10m by 5m 

  • Reconnected the internet

​School Leavers

  • Funded students to study a trade - hairdressing, metalwork, nursing. 

 

​Local Community 

  • Supplied ePAP to the local community

  • Supplied Maize meal to the local community

  • Provided funding for various entrepreneurial projects - breeding and raising chickens 

​

Current Activity

  • Starlink has landed in Zimbabwe. Makthula is working with Makhaza to order and install the solution. 

  • Makthula is applying for charity status in Australia

  • Makthula is partnering with a PVO in Bulawayo
