Our main goal is to provide schools with a "Makthula Package"

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go towards either a "Makthula Package" or recurring internet payments.

Makthula also helps the locals in different ways depending on need. These other projects are generally funded personally by the board members.

Fund a Recurring Payment

Fund Makhaza monthly internet - Approximately $90 per month
Fund Mathula monthly internet - Approximately $90 per month

Sponsor a Student

From time a school principle asks for help funding a students annual school fees. The directors assist from time to time.

Pay for a primary students term fees - $12 per term
Pay for a secondary students term fees - $50 per term
Pay for a year 11 student
Pay for a year 12 student
Sponsor a student to learn a trade

One Time Donations

During our engagement with Makhaza and Mathula schools, the principles identified numerous areas that need funding.

Each school will have its own list of needs. It is unlikely Makthula will be funding these projects without a significant donation targeted at a specific need.

Solar System upgrading, security for the system, Internet and projector - in progress
textbooks/Readers to help improve reading levels
Furniture ie chairs and desks
Early Childhood Devt Classroom block; the 13 classrooms we have are not enough for our 524 learners
Toilets; All the school toilets are old and some are no longer usable
Teachers’ cottage to improve teachers’ residence who currently share at a rate of 1 cottage to 3 teachers
More laptops; To improve laptop learner ratio for an effective use

This has been something Clive has been doing for over 40 years and will continue to do so in his personal capacity, leaving all donated funds to Makthula to be used for a Makthula package.
